Dr. Gerger attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 1997. He completed his internship at St. Francis Medical Center and residency at Latrobe Area Hospital. He is board certified in Family Medicine and practiced with his father Dr. Joseph Gerger until his retirement. Dr. Gerger is on staff at two local skilled level nursing facilities, Hempfield Manor and The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh. He is affiliated with P.A.S. Medical laboratory and Arlington Medical Nutrition Center.
